2.9 What Genie?
The boys have no recollection of Lisa. Wyatt reads his journal and discovers all these entries about a genie. The last entry mentions them seeing a childhood friend named Phoebe, whom Wyatt never really liked.
At the coffee shop, Chett ogles Phoebe, not remembering her. When she tells him who she is, he’s surprised. “Last time I saw you, you were heading off to military
school,” she says. He boasts, “I graduated and I have a big gun.”
She shoots back about how that must compensate for his small....
well, you get the idea.
Later, Wyatt asks Chett if he remembers seeing Phoebe. Chett makes him pay
money for the answer. When Wyatt pays up, Chett tells him, Yes, he sees
Phoebe every day at 3 p.m. on her talk show. Then he cackles about having made the money so easily.
After more investigating, the boys discover Phoebe stole Lisa off their harddrive and made her erase their memories. They go to the
studio to confront her on national television, talking on about having a genie. Everyone watching is shocked. Chett says, “Well, that explains a lot.”
Lisa -- decked out in a "I Dream of Jeannie" costume -- tricks Phoebe into wishing she’d never met the boys and that makes her disappear and never have any memory of having
a magic genie.
