Royal Pains
The Honeymoon's Over
Episode 1.8 - July 30, 2009
Lee Tergesen plays Zach Kingsley, a
illustrator of children's books, in an episode of
this new summertime series on USA Network.
The show's main character is "concierge
doctor" Hank Lawson, played by Mark Feuerstein.
In this episode, Hank becomes the personal
physician to Lee's character, Zach, who has a heart condition. Zach
and his wife are on a tight deadline to complete their latest in a
series of wildly popular children's stories. This doesn't appear to
be good for Zach's heart.
Hank revives Zach from increasingly serious
heart and lung problems, and poor Lee has to look mighty unhealthy
at times (foaming at the mouth and all). These moments are balanced
by lots of shirtlessness. :)
The show's backstory: Hank was a rising star in the
New York City medical community until he loses everything fighting
for the life of a patient. With his career stalled and his personal
life in shambles, Hank is in need of a new beginning. He gets it
after he crashes a billionaire's party in the Hamptons at the urging
of his younger brother, Evan (Paulo Costanzo). At the party, he
saves the life of a guest, and soon Hank's services are in demand.
He reinvents himself as the Hamptons' hottest new doctor, solving
medical crises and helping those in need.
This episode also involved a mismatched pair of newlyweds
honeymooning in the Hamptons: Alan (Peter Jacobson from "House") is
the nebbishy husband of a swimsuit model, Rachel (played by Brooklyn
Decker).
