Keller confronts Beecher in the gym, saying he's heard that Toby is telling stories about Keller ratting him out. Keller denies
it and begs Toby's to believe him. Toby says it doesn't matter whether Keller did it or not because Toby believes he is capable of doing it. He says he should have left Keller on
Death Row. Keller leaves and is upset and depressed. He sulks in his cell and Vern stops by, saying he knows what's going on and asks if they can be friends again. Keller agrees.
