Schillinger and Beecher get out of the hospital. Beecher runs into Keller, says he's alive thanks to Keller and says he asked McManus to move Keller back into their pod. Keller nods. Beecher talks to Said about hatred. Schillinger tries to get Keller and Beecher to join him as racial tensions rise.
The prison begins a two-week lockdown. At midnight in their
pod, Beecher and Keller wish each other a Happy New Year and kiss.
