Life on Mars
Lee Tergesen plays Assistant District Attorney Lee Crocker in the
U.S. version of this TV series imported from Britain.
Lee's part was set up to be a recurring role, but he was only in
two episodes: the
second and briefly in the seventh.
In the ABC series, Jason O'Mara starred as Detective Sam Tyler. In the
opening episode, Sam is hurtled back in time to 1973 from 2008 after
being hit by a car while chasing down a criminal.
The Real Adventures of the Unreal Sam Tyler
Episode 1.2 - Oct. 16, 2008
In the second episode, Detective Sam Tyler dives into a case involving a string of fatal
robberies at check cashing stores. The squad winds up suspecting
fellow police officers are involved. Tyler goes over the head of his
lieutenant (Lt. Gene Hunt, played by Harvey Keitel) to talk to ADA
Crocker about the case. This makes Tyler unpopular with his colleagues
and Lt. Hunt, of course. But it gets the job done.
Lee has three or four scenes in the episode. At the end of the
episode, we see that ADA Crocker is involved romantically with
policewoman Annie Norris (played by Gretchen Mol).
The Man Who Sold The World
Episode 1.7 - Nov. 20, 2008
Lee's fellow Oz alumnus, Dean Winter, appears in this episode as
Detective Sam Tyler's father. Lee is in it briefly toward the
beginning, relating the dastardly deeds of the Pignato family,
kidnappers and mutilators extraordinaire.
