Law & Order: SVU
Savior
Episode 11.15 - March 3, 2010
Lee Tergesen played Billy Skaggs, a psycho
preacher, in this episode of "Law &
Order: SVU," which reunited him with "Oz" co-star Christopher Meloni.
"Savior" was the second hour of a two-hour
block of SVU episodes on March 3 on NBC TV in the United States.
Lucky Canadians got to see the episode on March 2 on CTV!
The episode also stars Mischa Barton, former series regular on "The
O.C." She plays a hooker who escaped the clutches of the
"freaky deacon" only have to confront him in the courtroom.
However, the best confrontation comes in the
interrogation room between the old friends and castmates (not to
mention cellmates!). Lee and Chris share a prayer, forehead to
forehead, in Detective Stabler's effort to get the suspect to
confess.
"Chris and Lee have a pretty intense scene," SVU
executive producer Neal Baer said in promoting the show. And he
provided the photographic evidence on his Twitter account in the
weeks leading up to broadcast.

Here's the original scoop about Lee's appearance, according to a
Michael Ausiello item on EW.com:
It’s a reunion seven years in the making...
Lee Tergesen is reteaming with ex-Oz lover Chris Meloni in an
upcoming episode of "Law & Order: SVU," sources confirm to me
exclusively.
Tergesen is playing a deranged religious zealot suspected of murder.
An SVU insider says you can expect “lots of sweaty interrogation
scenes between Meloni and Tergesen.” Just like old times!
This will mark the first time Meloni and Tergesen have worked
together since "Oz" went off the air in 2003. |
